Director Tish Anne Kilgore

Dr. Tish Anne Kilgore, Executive/Artistic Director and founder of Center Stage, is a pianist and flutist with thirty years of experience in teaching and vocal coaching.  She studied piano with Juliet Shaw, Frederick Marvin and Bela Nagy, and has received several awards and honors and performed numerous solo piano concerts and recitals in the Syracuse and Boston areas including several appearances with the Syracuse Symphony. She studied flute with John Oberbrunner and voice with Ruth Pinnell.  Dr. Kilgore has a BA in piano performance from Syracuse University’s School for the Visual and Performing Arts and has a Doctor of Musical Arts in piano performance from Boston University with an expertise in the piano music of Franz Liszt.  Upcoming publications include the Journal of the Britis Liszt Society.  She has also written and directed more than a dozen musical theater plays/adaptations for youth.

Tish was most recently a guest artist and jury member for the Concorso Musicale Internazionale ‘Alpi Marittime citta di Busca’ in Italy, 2010.
