Director Tish Anne Kilgore
Tish Anne Kilgore is a pianist and flutist, has taught piano and flute, and is the Director of Center Stage, where classes and performing opportunities are offered in music, dance and theater. She studied piano with Juliet Shaw, Frederick Marvin and Bela Nagy, and has performed numerous solo piano concerts and recitals in the Syracuse and Boston areas including several appearances with the Syracuse Symphony. She studied flute with John Oberbrunner and voice with Ruth Pinnell. Ms. Kilgore has a BA in piano performance from Syracuse University’s School for the Arts and has a Doctor of Musical Arts in piano performance from Boston University pending completion of her dissertation (expected May ’09). She has also written and directed more than a dozen musical theater plays/adaptations for youth.
Meghan Taevs
Meghan Kilgore Taevs teaches piano and dance at Center Stage. She studies piano with Alice Terrien-Queen at New England Conservatory. She has also studied piano with Ms. Kilgore and Josienne LeFebvre at the McGill Conservatory in Montreal, where she received highest honors in collegial examinations, earning the privilege of performing at their Gala Concerts. After attending schools in Groton and Acton/Boxborough, she graduated from McGill University with a B.S. in psychology/neuroscience and is currently in the Mind, Brain and Education graduate program at Harvard University having won the Leadership in Education Scholarship. Ms. Taevs studied ballet at the Boston Ballet School and with Jacqueline Cronsberg. She has performed with the Boston Ballet, Ballet Theater of Boston and the Boston Dance Co., and was a member of the Massachusetts Youth Ballet. She lives in Westford with her husband, Michael.
Evann Normandin
Michele Ramirez
Michele Ramirez teaches dance at Center Stage. She has a B.S. degree
in Physical Education from U Mass, Amherst and is a former All
Scholastic and All American gymnast who was recently inducted into the
B.H.S. Hall of Fame. This led her into the field of dance which she studied
abroad in Cancun, Mexico where she was the Assistant
Choreographer for an International Dance and Entertainment Team.
Michele and the team performed in various hotels in Cancun. Ms.
Ramirez is also certified in aerobic dance and physical weight training.
She lives in Burlington and is continuing her dance education here in
Massachusetts.
Mary Spinosa-Wilson
Mary Spinosa-Wilson has directed numerous musical theater productions in the Boston area, including “Grease,” “Bye Bye Birdie,” “Tom Sawyer” and “Godspell.” She has a B.A. degree in Theater/Music and Communication, and is a certified Registered Drama Therapist. She teaches piano and voice at her studio in Acton where she also directs the Acton Teen Repertory Theater Company and serves on the Boards of both Theater III and Open Door Theater. Ms. Spinosa-Wilson is new to Center Stage this year, where she teaches Drama and Improvisation.
Henry Tervo
Oboist Henry A. Tervo has a Masters of Music from New England Conservatory and has performed with the Portland Symphony Orchestra, Emmanuel Music, Boston Opera, Boston Ballet, Colonial Theater. North Shore Music Theater, Gardner Museum Concerts, the Worcester Symphony and the R.I. Philharmonic. He has taught oboe, clarinet and saxophone and as an ensemble coach in several schools, including the Powers Music School, Gordon College, Camp Encore-Coda and Indian Hill Music School. His work utilizes his extensive teaching and performing experience to help students develp musically, intellectually and personally.
Brian Allard
Brian Allard teaches guitar at Center Stage. He has twenty-five years of
guitar playing experience, and has taught professionally for the past six-
years. Brian received Bachelors Degrees in Literature and Psychology from
Providence College and is currently pursuing a BA/MA degree in Music
Studies and Music Education at the University of Massachusetts- Lowell.
Brian has studied with some of the finest jazz guitarists in New England,
most notably Jon Wheatley, Jay Ford and Mark Michaels. He has also
studied classical guitar with Berit Strong. Brian performed weekly concerts
at "Kids Club" in Westford last summer and he has performed in numerous
groups playing rock, blues and jazz music.
Erin Palmer
Erin Palmer received her early dance training in ballet, modern and jazz from New Canaan Academy of Dance in New Canaan, Connecticut and studied with Doris Driver, Cindy Bernier and Catherine Barribal. She earned a B.S. in Arts Administration with a Dance Concentration from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN under the Artistic Direction of Stephan Lauren, Michelle Jarvis and Bud Kerwin. She has performed with Butler Ballet in Indianapolis, New England Dance Theater in New Canaan, CT; Anonymity of Charleston, SC and DancePrism of West Concord, MA. She currently works full-time at Oak Meadow Montessori School as the Director of Development and Parent Relations and is a certified Montessori teacher. Erin is enjoying her fifth year affiliated with Center Stage.
