COME SEE THE CENTER STAGE SINGERS PERFORM THEIR HOLIDAY PROGRAM AT

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 17TH AT 5:00!!

Singers ages 7 and up are invited to audition for the Center Stage Singers for the school year 1009-2009.  This select group of 20-30 treble voices will be entering their 5th year.  They have sung at many local venues during the holiday and Spring seasons, including Christmas Tree Lightings, Cataldo’s retirement homes, the Tsongas Arena, Breakfast with Santa at the Burlington mall, the Prudential Winter Festival and Copley Square for a rally for Global Warming awareness.  While their repertoire is mostly holiday, and Broadway and popular music, they have also collaborated with the Westford Chorus in their productions of “Judas Maccabeus” and “Cameramen,” and performed the Britten “Friday Afternoons” in a special concert.  They have traveled and performed in Portland, ME, New York (at the U.N. Afternoon Concerts Series) and Washing D.C.

A dozen+ new singers were accepted after auditions on Wednesday, June 11th from 6:15-7:30 at the Center Stage studio.  A second round of auditions will take place in January for this year’s group by appointment.

The fee for new members for the remainder of the school year will be $250.

*Former Members do not need to re-audition.  Just send in your payment, or tell Tish that you will not be returning.

*New Students auditioning will need to sing a solo for Tish.  You can bring music of your choice which she will accompany you on, or just sing “Happy Birthday” for her.  You will also be asked to match some pitches for a determination of range, and to demonstrate a brief sequence of dance steps (easy ones!) to determine showmanship. 

*If there is a large number of students who are not quite ready for performance, we will offer a training chorus.

Rehearsals Begin Wednesday January 7th

5:30 for Dancers, 6:15 for all, until 7:45.  All regular rehearsals will be at that time on Wednesdays.
